Norwood, OH/Pennington Gap, VA Jack Lee Coffman, age 82, was born in the Stone Creek area of Lee County, VA on January 27, 1928. He passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati, OH. He was a loving father, brother and friend that was loved dearly and will be sincerely missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Minnie Carter and one sister, Joanne Doss.

He is survived by his loving ex-wife, Bobbie Coffman of Norwood, OH, one son, Michael Coffman and wife Connie of Norwood, OH. Granddaughter, Michia Thiessen and husband Joe, Three great grandchildren, Billy, Cole, and Sarah of Dover, Delaware. One daughter, Robin Sand and husband Scott of Okeana, OH, grandaughter, Jillian Powers and husband Kevin, two great grandchildren,Payton and Autumn of West Chester, OH. One sister, Gay Anderson and husband Benny of Jonesville, VA, Three brothers, Ray Coffman and wife Vivian of Cincinnati, OH, Larry Carter and wife Dora of Pennington Gap, VA, Gene Carter and wife Glenna of Huntsville, AL, and many nieces nephews and close friends. Visitation will be from 11 until 1:00 p. m. Saturday, January 22, at Sturgill Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Kenneth Ellis officiating. Military Rights will be given by the Wise County Veterans Association and the VA National Gaurd Honors Team. Interment will be at Lee Memorial Gardens, in Woodway, VA. Coffman, Ray B. beloved husband for 54 years to Vivian L. Coffman (nee Lands) devoted father of Connie (Martin) Dressman, dear brother of Larry (Dora) and Gene (Glenna) Carter, the late Jack Coffman, Joanne Doss, and Gay Anderson, son of the late Minnie Carter, loving grandfather of Phillip and Nathan Dressman, also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Passed away peacefully at home in Anderson Twp. on Aug. 20, 2014. Age 80 years. Service at T P WHITE & SONS Funeral Home 2050 Beechmont Ave. with the Montgomery Lodge #94 F&AM and Scottish Rite Ring services on Sat. Aug. 23, at 10 AM. Friends may visit on Sat. from 9-10 AM. Memorials to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Ray was in the US Army.

Larry Paul Carter age 77 of Pennington Gap, VA was born on May 20, 1944 in Pennington Gap, VA and passed away July 1, 2021 in Pennington Gap, VA. He was a Army veteran and a member of the Miles Freemason Lodge #165. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Minnie Carter, three brothers Jack Coffman, Ray Coffman and Gene Carter , two sisters JoAnn Carter Doss, Gay Anderson. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Dora Carter of the home, one son Michael Shannon and wife Betty Jo of Jonesville, VA one daughter Leshia Carter of Pennington Gap, VA and two grandsons that was his world Austin Hornby and Jacob Calhoun and numerous nieces and nephews family and friends.
