ST. CHARLES, Va. - Ceonia Ridings, 83, died Monday (Feb. 2, 1998) at Lee County Community Hospital, Pennington Gap, Va.
Born in Claiborne County, Tenn., she was a resident of Lee County, Va. most of her life. She was a member of the Beacon Light Baptist in Monarch, Va., and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Henderson and Rachel Shelton Ridings; and eight brothers, Luther, Willie, Clifford, Andrew, Julis, Claude, James and Charles Ridings.
Surviving are two brothers, Richard Ridings, Noblesville, Ind., and Odie Ridings, Woodway, Va.; and a sister, Clides Cloud, Dryden, Va.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Province Funeral Home, Pennington Gap, Va.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ray Bowlin officiating.
Gravesides will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Woodway, Va.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. to proceed to the cemetery.

Ceonia married Luther Charles Vanoy on 30 Jul 1947 in Harlan Co, KY, and was divorced on 6 Sep 1954 in Lee Co, VA. Luther was born on 17 May 1908 in Hancock Co, TN; died on 5 Apr 1971 in Lee Co, VA; was buried in Lee Co, VA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
