  	Norris Kelly Newman Norris Kelly Newman, age 92, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Bristol Health and Rehab following a short illness. Mr. Newman was born and raised in St. Charles, Va. but lived most of his life in Bristol, Va. He attended Hiawassee College, Lincoln Memorial University and was a graduate of East TN State University. He was a retired school teacher having taught at Valley Institute Elementary in Washington County, Va. for 20 years. Mr. Newman was a member of Anderson Street United Methodist Church for over 55 years where he was a past Sunday School teacher and board member. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Frances Newman; his parents, Noah and Elizabeth Newman; sister, Nell Witt and a brother, Jack Newman. Survivors include three daughters, Jacquelin E. Jones and husband, George of Afton, Tenn., Carol A. Jones and husband, David of Columbia, S.C. and Linda N. Morris and husband, Joe of Bristol, Tenn; grandchildren, Angela White and husband, Scott, Ginger Jones, Allen Jones, Kevin Jones and wife, Becky, Mark A. Jones and wife, Rachel, Jonathan Bednar and Badi Montgomery; four great-grandchildren, Betsy and Chase Williams, Cole Porter and Annabelle Jones; two nephews, Kent Witt and Dennis Witt and cousin, George R. Kelly The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Anderson Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Barbara Doyle officiating. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 3 p.m., Saturday in Lee Memorial Gardens, (Lee County) Woodway, Va. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Anderson Street United Methodist Church, 954 Anderson St., Bristol, TN 37620.
